I guess I should stop referring to some as a potted plant. They aren't very purifying or refreshing to be around.

take extra vitamin d if you live in a cloudy climate during the winter months. too little vitamin d will cause bone loss. we easily exceed 400 IUs in the summer months being in the sun. it's a myth that we should get no more than 400 IUs in a supplement during the winter.

Great info Dr. Mao!! I have shared my home with indoor plants for years. Some of my plants are over 30 years old ... ivy, ficus, geranium, violets, cacti, aloe, spiders, and more. Living in the Northeast with forced hot air for heat can be hard on the lungs. Healthy greenery helps.

can you use a grow light on plants to get them to produce oxygen, or does it have to be the sun ? my sound studio has no natural light and I want plants to clean the air and make oxygen. cheers.......scott scottsear@sasktel.net
