I didn't know this about the cooling vegetables. I should reconsider eating some of this food. I already avoid some of it. I probably should avoid all of it since I don't have good circulation. Maybe it will make a difference.

Thank you for the article on Summer veggies! I always enjoy reading your articles and learning a thing or two. :) I was wondering about the quantities needed to make a difference in 'lowering the risk of colon, prostate, rectal and stomach cancer' as mentioned in article. How many tomatoes would I have to eat to make a difference, since the article says, "when eaten in high quantities"? also, I have never had chilled soup before. I have always eaten hot soup in the fall/winter to stay warm. I'll have to give "chilled" soup a try in our 100 degree Texas heat!!! Thanks!

I eat for a reason. I get hungry. I'm always hungry on this whole foods diet I've been on. I could eat the countertop I get so hungry. I can't stay awake on this diet either. It makes me so tired, Dr. Mao. What food can I eat to get more energy and feel more full?
