    These are all good techniques, but less coffee is the most tough thing. I have to have one tall regular coffee at starbucks. any suggestions.

    Say you try and live a stress free life the best you can. But your family thinks you raise your voice and you aren't in your eyes. And you are more stressed again just by talking.

    Thank you, but what if your stress levels are trigered by verbal actions. I begin to stress when particular people like my boss begin advertatly yelling at me. It begins with anxiety and then builds to stress and thats when I snap and every one gets on my nervs.

    Couldn't agree more. I would put Yoga/exercise and Meditation as number one. As for Meditation, it is important to learn how to do it properly. Otherwise you may not derive its benefits. It sill be more of a placebo effect. Unfortunately there aren't many decent books or vedeos that teach proper Meditation techniques. I would suggest find a local organization that teaches it. Too many Americans are simply addicted to caffeine. I say to my colleagues half-jokingly that a lot of the currently popular coffee brands will be classified as controlled substances in a couple decades from now.

    I have began walking about 2.5 miles 4 times a week, (started out with 1.5 miles until I built my endurance) excersize help relieves stress. Also it resulted in weight loss, its funny people treat you better when you weigh less (also resulting in stress reduction). Meditation used to help me regain my focus however I don,t know why I stopped this important stress reducing task, this article reminded me of the benefits of meditation. I have one other suggestion that a little different and unique but has in a moment erased all stressfull anxious foreboding stresses and anxieties. I have written several of my favorite praise songs and I kneel and sing them along with the actual song. It works like magic, usally I sing about 3 songs at a sitting (or kneeling). I thing God sends a spirit of peace. It really feels like someone has poured a cool salve on my brain and mind. I have a high stress job and if I dont find relief I might go nuts, this helps tremendously.
