White vinegar also works great to cut grease. I use it in a solution of water for the hardwood floors. I also keep a small bottle of vinegar below the sink to use as a sterilizer for the sink. For people who don't like the artificial scents from liquid commercial cleansers and sprayers, this is a good route to go.

I follow most of this advice but still use the canned goods occasionally for my homemade spaghetti sauce. I wish I knew how to do it from scratch.

Also, longevity of your children and, your children's children begins in your kitchen. #4 Ricky, my Grandmother who at 101 is going strong has always said the very same thing "Everything in moderation".

If you listen to what all these "experts" tell us, you'd be scared to leave your house. Everything will kill you. "Everything in moderation" is what I live by and I don't plan on changing that regardless of what someone tells me. Use your brains people. ;)

Don't eat canned goods, don't use microwave, don't use non-stick pans, don't use normal cleaners. This is RIDICULOUS advice from a "New Age" quack that is not only completely impractical, but completely devoid of any scientific basis. What garbage.

Actually, it's not ridiculous advice - I haven't used a micro in over 12 years. I don't need food in an instance and it kills some of the flavor. I use very few canned goods - usually too much sodium and the flavor of the tin can gets into the food (and canned veggies are mushy and have no vitamins left...) "Normal cleaners" have horrible fumes and so many tell you right on the package that they are toxic. Vineger, simple green, baking soda - those are the cleaners I use. I do have a few non-stick pans, but I prefer glass ones - I think they work better.
