I already eat a lot of those foods that you list Dr. Mao, and much more. For people who get tired of trail mix but want the extra berries and nuts in their diet, they can put it on their cereal in the morning or even on a salad later in the day. I think adding white tea, green tea, oolong tea or black tea to the diet every day is beneficial to one's longevity too.

Like #1, I like drinking tea too. I also like drinking red wine for my longevity. In the morning, however, I like adding spirulina to my juice since it gives it another layer of nutrients. I eat fruits and vegetables throughout the day anyway so I don't really see it as a substitute for them. I just think of it as a way to boost my immune system a bit further than if I were to drink the juice plain. I also mix whatever juice I drink with some aloe vera juice so it's not too sweet. It makes both juices more palatable and you get the benefits of both of them not watered down.

If anyone takes vitamins for longevity, go visit fda.gov and read about the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 Public Law 103-417. Congress is trying to take your rights away to take supplements.

After reading this enlightening article, it is clear to me that toi avoid headaches don't eat or deink anything ever! But then...hmm, how are you going to combat the headaches you get from the hunger that will occur? How would the author ever host a dinner party at her house?

I noticed that you left out all meats. As you mention at the end of your article, too much nuts can be unhealthy because of fat content. Why would you not eat, say, cod or salmon which might be more readily available in some areas (Alaska) and possibly more cost effective? Thanks
