"Some people are surprised when I recommend that there should be no plants in the bedroom. The reason is that plants give off carbon dioxide and deplete the oxygen in the air you breathe." While this is a generally good article, plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Please get your facts straight.

Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen in the daytime and a reverse process takes place in the dark, this is because of sunlight causing photo-synthesis of green leaves in the day. So ,the Doctor is right in advising people not to have plants in their bedrooms. I think KricketGirl needs to throw out the plants from her bedroom as the CO2 is really affecting her brain, and sleep with someone who helps her in breathing heavily at night.

According to the feng shui, my living quarters are set up just right.I have a fountain in my bedroom so I hear water trickling down rocks. My dog sleeps in the bedroom though and I don't plan on kicking him out either, LOL!!!

this is funny to see this article. i just switched my bedroom around because i got tired of the set up and wanted a little extra space to exercise. i don't exercise before going to bed but now i am not sleeping so well. the head of my bed is now facing windows instead of a wall. i guess i'll try sleeping towards the closet next and see how that works (switch the side of the bed i'm on). if that doesn't work, then i guess it's back to how it was.

Aquarium plants consume oxygen and release carbon dioxide at night with photosynthesis not house plants.

That must be an interesting planet you live on rafay.hafeez! Here on Earth plants absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen through the process of photosynthesis; at night the process just stops...

do not see anything in this post about having a great mattress to sleep on. that is the most important thing for a good night sleep. all the rest is really just filler. so everyone should stop by an americas mattress and get themselves a serta mattress set to sleep on. and kricketgirl is right...plants give off oxygen rather than carbon dioxide

I noticed you said, "plants give off carbon dioxide and deplete the oxygen in the air you breathe," but isn't it the exact opposite?

Well after the first 12 comments slammed you for the same fictional statement, why would I consider anything else in the article to be true???

So if plants are such oxygen-suckers, should everyone kick out their partner too? Husbands and wives suck in a lot of oxygen and give off carbon dioxide too, you know!
