    I think that the avocado is one of the bes vegetable u can eat, because it no contains cholesterol.

    Is it ok to eat mostly all fruit for your fruit/veggie requirements per day? Also, do you have to eat the peel on the apple to get the full effect of the health benefits?

    What about whole grains, like oatmeal? Is there a certain required amount of fiber in a daily diet required for a healthy heart?

    One of the biggest things you can do to prevent long term heart damage and many other diseases is to eat a LOW SODIUM DIET. After my husband had conjestive heart failure at the age of 40-we read nutrition labels! Keeping a low sodium diet is important for everyone young and old. I found some great product, but most impotantly -a great cookbook 500 Low Sodium Recipes - By: Dick Logue on a LOW SODIUM website called www.heartwisefood.com- I have tried just about every recipe in it and my family couldn't tell on some of them-that they were reduced sodium.
