I wouldn't call them secrets. toxicity is the number one killer...too much or too little of anything will upset the apple cart. Do you really want to live that long? He makes it sound so wonderful

There is no evidence that 8 glasses of water a day are necessary. Additionally, I am troubled by the recommendation to "detoxify," along with the citation of an herbal product that has never been studied via a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial. If you were to ask that manufacturer to name EXACTLY the so-called "toxins" that are eliminated with his product, I can guarantee you that you would receive a non-answer. This article was useless.

It seems to me that Dr. Mao is stating the obvious and yet exaggerating some of these things. There is no scientific proof that detoxifications do anything special for the body. As for our environment, if you live in a city, you are *surrounded* by chemicals, radio waves, and man-created things. The apartments and house we live in have walls filled with fire retardants, adhesives, and other man-formed things. The *paper* bags we use are formed with chemicals to enhance their durability. The shoes on your feet are held together with adhesives. The polyseter clothes you wear, and rugs you own, are made of oil-based polymers. Please. If you think using a paper bag instead of plastic helps, it's time to do a little reasoning. Thanks Dr. Mao for the "enlightenment", but I think I'll pass on it with common-sense.

Isn't China a worst kind of place with soil contamination, food poisoning, co2, dioxin, uncontrolled chemical and pesticides in foods and consumer items? Aren't they more important to look at than say, a couple of thousand centenarians in over 1.3 billion population?

8 glasses of poisoned water isn't going to help a man anytime soon.. Fluoride, chlorine, parepin, and pharmaceuticals aren't good for nobody.

The only problem with living such a health life is you're still going to die and no one will know what killed you.
