Dang! When he was talking about "brown foods", I was hoping he meant chocolate. Ineluctable proof that there is no god: ice cream and peanut butter cups make you fat. Spinach and broccoli don't.

This article was great! Some things I took from it is... From now on I will make little sandwiches with turkey and avocado, start drinking green tea, and either order healthy foods when I go out, or get a to-go box immediately. Thank you, Dr. Mao.

Great suggestions. I feel so much better eating vegetarian and organic, and you gave some very good meal and snack ideas that should fit everyone's lifestyle. None of the foods you listed are unrealistic...all can be found in your basic grocery store. This is the way I eat all the time and I recommend it for everyone!

Wow, I like your article. I love a penut butter bal rolled in different nut and seeds. Trail mix is also really good-providing it isn't from the store. Way too much sodium there. I prefer to but almonds, dried fruit and whatnot and mix it myself.

Thank you. In the summer our bodies are hot and easily overheat, we should eat smaller meals of warm nourishing foods with the addition of more fruits and vegetables, which are energetically cold foods.

I have to agree with him. I have switched to a primarily raw live diet, in which I eat mostly things uncooked like salads, fruits, nuts and seeds and my energy did shoot thru the roof!!! If I eat a heavy cooked meal at lunch I become tired more easily. I also noticed cutting out sugary snacks/drinks increased my energy. And yes, I do do yoga, pray and meditate, but the energy from our food also gives us life force, you would know that if you really meditated and practiced yoga.
