If ain't a lot of those lunch choices, I'd be on the can 24/7....no one wants excrement on work time! That meal plan is for a Kaula bear in an asian forest! Thumbs down for me.

While I do agree with his advice in #2, his reasonig as to why we feel down is flawed. Carbohydrates either get used up fast like sugar or take more energy to digest than protien or fats, these are all kinds of grains. It is most likly the extra the extra vitamins that keep you up

Brown rice has a high glycemic index. White pasta is actually a better choice than brown rice if you're choosing based on GI.

Did you know that there are directions for eating brown rice? Well, in our culture there is. It must be eaten and cooked in a certain way. I have been eating brown rice these days...not that used to it, but it really helps my health!

These are realistic alternatives, but if you choose to indulge go for it, but there are consequences with any option you choose. You may choose to eat a bit healthier and lose some of the flavor. Or you may choose to eat high flavor high fatty foods with low health benefits. There is a balance to everything you choose. For those complaining about alternatives or how good it tastes, don't even bother reading these health articles because they will never advocate munching down on chocolate and fried chicken. Great article for once.

Nice article, with the glaring exception of point #5. Telling people not to use a microwave is simply outrageously unrealistic. I mean I could probably lose a lot of weight by completely shunning modern life and living like a Buddhist monk, but that's just not going to happen. Microwaves are a fundamental aspect of modern Western life.
