Do NOT take these meal tips as gospel! I lost 25 pounds 7 years ago and have kept the weight off. How? By skipping breakfast and lunch, and having a good, well-rounded dinner. Nutritionalists who advocate the same (or recommend maybe eating a small lunch) include Dr. David Levitsky and Mark Mattson. Breakfast is a societal ritual; longterm evolutionary study doesn't suggest we need it.

Why say animal protein and not just protein? Not everyone eats meat.

Why maple syrup? Wouldn't honey be a more beneficial choice?

You don't need to eat any animals to lose weight or be healthy.

Animal protein? Necessary? Not at all true, and a worrisome statement. Just think PROTEIN, and you're fine--including soy, beans, and other rich protein sources.

Bzzzz! Fail. Specifically animal protein, better for health than soy protein? Yeah, right. Soy protein is great for the heart, among other things, which is not at all something you can say for animal protein, and there are no harmful hormones or other creepy things in it. Oh, and a Chinese Medical Practitioner recommending including Chinese herbal supplements in your diet and posting a link to his own store? Yeaaaah, completely non-biased helpful medical advice. Pfft.

What everybody else said. Don't "should" on us about animal protein. Ironically, this myth is pure voodoo, not nutrition.

im sorry but it's already proven that you dont need animal protein to be healthy. these so called experts should stop spreading misinformation. i became a vegetarian 15 years ago, and 5 years ago i went vegan, and have NEVER felt healthier than now when Im on a plant based diet.
