I totally disagree with Pat!! Your children are going to grow up very unhealthy! Force feed them veg if you must, but don't let them live off of sugar! I hate most veggies, but I still try and incorperate them into my food as much as possible. As for school lunchs, pack them! No one says they HAVE to eat the unhealty school food. I know I don't, but then again I care about what I'm putting in my body. Sorry about the double post thing above me, I accidently double clicked.

Thanks for the Valueble Tips, With the start of School year--I have noticed a Pattern of My PTO's increasing at work--Meaning ,I regularly hae to take time off due to my son getting a viral fever,Ear Infection, something that he got from the othet kids. No matter how healthy his own diet is--He still can get sick,by getting it from other Classmates---Although PTO is not an Issue---I am afraid that its affecting my sons Health. Please Advise. If you feed kids health food all the time, they would "eat that crap". Haven't you heard of chicken and rice? I make the above mentioned "broth", but add some rice to it, so it is still soupy, but good. My kids are "odd", I suppose, as they go down the veggie aisle asking. "Can we get this, Mama?" If you feed them well from the beginning, they will eat well. My kids turn down typical kid foods, like candy and cookies, because I have always told them to listen to their bodies. My 7 year old tells people, "We don't eat unhealthy foods. They make our bodies sick." It is our job, as parents, to teach them well. For those who "cannot" get their kids to eat veggies, give them to them, anyway. There are PLENTY of ways to make veggies taste yummy!

I found the information useful and will try it with my little girl. Veggies alone is a good source of wellness anyway.

The commenter----Kevin,"airwaving" Is selfish,Posting his opinion as the truth and 'Assuming" that mothers dont even try----and just to prove their point--would sacrifice their child's health--UTTER RUBBISH,Its people like him that give mothers a bad name. Which mother wouldnt even 'try' to feed healthy food to her child?? Sometimes --You just cant help but let them have treats like candies,or the so called"unhealthy" fries..I mean C'mon now.... We as adults give in to temptations--and so being the mother i understand--and let him have that once in while letting him know that this is not our 'normal' healthy diet--If i just totally "taboo" that--then he will have a craving towards it that will make him rebellous towards food. ANyways--Long story short---Mothers almost always know their kids wants, and needs and although they dont know everything, they definitely know whats good for their child--SO Mr Kevin,Dont JUDGE ME..thank you.
