I Agree with Kevin, REALLY Kids will not drink that drink or touch anything herbal and it is hard to disguise that stuff. The only thing hopefull is the exercise and veggies but most kids hate veggies I know mine do and it is a hard battle to go through every day. A nuritionist told me to always get them to try it but not make them eat. I go by that advise soooooo my kids just do not eat veggies. And the lack of sugar..... my kids get more than they should just at school alone when I am not there to control it.... chocalte milk, pudding etc.. Yes, I too did not find this advise very helpfull.

These are great tips, however the #1 thing for children to do to avoid school "bugs" is to wash their hands regularly. At least before every meal/snack and after every trip to the bathroom for at least 10 seconds with soap and water.

hey pat and kevin maybe you should've raised your kids on better, healthier food. don't let them have pizza and other american food so much. If they don't like vegetables then you have got a problem. Also I bet you've never given them mushrooms or seaweed to try. Americans are so stupid

In our efforts to keep our children from catching a cold we are creating a society who's immune systems are getting weaker and weaker. In order to be healthy one has to catch a few bugs in order to strengthen their overall immune system. Parents who just dont want to be bothered with taking a day off from work to stay home with sick kids is actually making us weaker. We need to stop being alarmist..... a little dirt can actually be a good thing.....schools using scads of anti bacterial soap, anti bacterial wet wipes and lysol being sprayed everytime somebody sneezes have gone over the top.

the thing about taste of seaweed & mushroom is really an acquired taste. For those with young kids, start with them early.
