Excellent article. I am already a big fan of greens (eaten raw, including the most hated vegetable, broccoli.), the article makes me more committed.

NEW ZEALAND spinach will grow any where in your yard and is excellent cooked or used raw in salads. Eat it here in Southern California year around. Wife is 90 & I am 84

I read in a Readers Digest some months that most adults do not need to takr additional folic acid. Pregnant women was ok to take additional folic acid. Now this articlee suggessts that you should take aditional folic acid. What gives?

Anyone who needs a few NEW ZEALAND spinach seeds. email me at petatohead@yahoo.com. Will be happy to send. FYI a 6 oz package in the produce section runs about $2.69. I have it all over my back yard and eat it 2 or 3 times a week. See Post #3. Make your subject "New Zealand Spinch" so i wont miss it.

Greens are great but one thing the Dr. forgot to mention is anyone on anticoagulants or people prone to blood clots should minimize or cut out the greens because of the high vitamin K content which is a coagulant making the greens fight with the medication. I love my greens but with having to adjust intake every 6 weeks for my meds I had to stop eating them.
