Prescription medications like Tamoxifen have terrible side effects that can irreversibly damage your health!
I suggest a nutritional therapy plan that starts with eliminating preserved foods, fast foods, and junk foods. Trans fatty acids (hydrogenated oils) in fried foods baked goods and commercial snack foods disrupt brain chemistry. Look for them on ingredient labels and avoid them at all costs. Stay away from sugary foods, refined carbohydrates and caffeine, as they all wreak havoc on blood sugar levels, Remember, maintaining balanced blood sugar levels is the key to sound mental health.
Most if not all, of your protein should come from easily absorbable vegetable sources like green leafy vegetables (i.e. kale, chard, broccoli, cabbage); sprouted and whole grains (i.e. quinoa, brown rice, buckweat, barley, etc.); legumes, and depending on your body chemistry, either fermented organic soy or fermented milk products in modrate quantities (I highly recommend Wildwood Soy Yogurt, if you tolerate soy, or Lifeway Organic Plain Kefir).
Proven depression fighters are key to overcoming bipolar symptoms. Include a moderate amount of wild oily fish (i.e. mackerel, salmon, or sardines) and seafood from reliable, less contaminated sources. Sea greens, spinach, avocados and dark cold-pressed virgin olive oil are also very beneficial.
If you happen to eat meat, although I would advise against it for health and various other reasons, I recommend Including small amounts of organic turkey which is a good source of tryptophan, which is a precursor of a neurotransmitter serotonin, which regulates mood and metabolism. Tryptophan, an essential amino acid aids in dilating blood vessels to decrease aggressive behavior, migraine headaches, and schizophrenia.
I wish you all the best and ask you to commit yourself to a varied exercise regiment, which has been proven to be at least as effective as any antidepressant on the market.
Stay strong and believe in yourself.
Warm Regards,
