I've been in and out of depression since age 14 (I'm 21 now) and I actually ended up having to leave college my mental health was so poor. My last semester at school involved a lot of partying and binge drinking, which definitely contributed to my worsened depression. Some students can effectively balance study and partying...I wasn't one of them and I think that anyone already struggling with depression would have a difficult time balancing the two as well.
