i have a problem with my feet they stay dry i use the vaseline on them all the time, esp at night i soak them in it and put on socks to sleep in. during ther day i use the vaseline lotions several times a day but they are still dry and cracked,it can be very uncomfortabal and even hurt at times. pedicures donot help i`ve tried using a pumise stone or foot file and still have no success. i just wonder if it some type of fungus gross i know but i am really thinking of talking to my family dr., i have even triedextra virgin olive oil, that works wonderful on my hands and skin but i just can`t seem to find anything to help my feet , it is worse on my heels, sometimes it is so bad i am to embarressed to wear sandles, flipflops,or even nice open back dress shoes.if anyone has found something that helps with this please post i will try anything, and yes i have tried medication for athletes foot with no success there either.i am so tired of having to wear tennis shoes all the time esp. in the summer months when i find sooooo many cute sandles i would love to have but i just can`t wear them, i don`t want anyone to see how ugly my feet are, i try not to even let my husband see, it is just so frustrating. HELP !!!!!

My daughter had exzima(sp?). It was very severe. Cracked, itchy, and very bothersome. We tried every perscription and over the counter cream, lotion, and medication. Know what worked? A $1.50 tub of generic Vaseline. It was a mess! Little grease stains everywhere, but it soothed her skin, and made her not itch. Within a few weeks time, her skin was smooth and trouble free. And to think I was spending $14 for a jar of "high quaility" creams like Aquafor & Eucerine.

Oatmeal based lotions work great for me. It sooths irritated skin and keeps itch under control. Nothing else works as well. I also try to avoid extra fragrances and dyes in soaps and lotions.

Does anyone know of a tear-free version of Dove? My kids are very young (one 3 year old and a 19 month old) and both have dry skin with excema at times. I use Dove myself and tried it on my kids but had problems with the fact that it isn't tear-free or easy if it accidentally gets in their eyes.

This actually works. I get extremely dry skin especially during the cold seson and I use the "Curel Ultra Healing Moisture Lotion" (blue bottle), I also use the vaseline when I get out of the shower. You tend not to itch as much

My 9 year old son has eczema. He started getting it when he was 5 months old. It gets really bad on his legs in the winter time because he has to wear pants and the pants irritate his skin. We keep a prescription strength steroid cream as back of for those times the eczema just gets away from us. I try not to use it often because it will break down the skin. At night before he goes to bed i put vaseline or Auquaphor on him. Legs, arms, belly. Then in the morning before he goes to school I have him rub it on his legs. If it is cold and windy he puts a little on his cheeks, and wrists. For soap he uses Cetaphil. I also only use Tide Free on his close and Bounce Free in the dryer. NO PEFUMES on the skin. It really helps.

To SHARON D, I also have the same problem with my feet. ESPECIALLY my heels. I have tried EVERYTHING. Even the anti fungal stuff because I once heard that if you can't get rid of cracked calussed feet it my be fungal. Well, it must be something else because they are nasty. The cracks get so deep I can't put pressure on them and I can't sleep because they are sore. For the pain I put Neosporin + Pain Reliever inside the cracks and then socks. It really helps with the pain. But of course, like everything else, it doesn't make them look better. If you get any help that works please forword it on. Thanks.
