    2 years out from active treatment Stage III and I have graduated from seeing the onco every three months to every four months. She says I'll be seeing her forever. I'm at a major academic hospital. I don't know if that makes a difference, but many of my friends don't see an onco at all anymore. My doctor says that she sells "peace of mind" and I need communicate how comfortable I am with my situation.

    I am 6 months post-bilateral mastectomy - all clear now, thank heavens! But it never occurred to me that my onc wouldn't be part of my medical team for the rest of my life! Glad I'm seeing him next month so I can ask...
