I had radiation for breast cancer. 3 years later I breastfed my first daughter exclusively for six months and then up until 15 months with the "good breast". My second daughter is almost one and she too still nurses every day...

The Cancer Industry is shameful, making millions off of Breast Cancer while withholding vital info on how it can be prevented. I am a breast cancer survivor & while I am grateful to be here, the treatment I received has left many scars. Read articles by "Mike Adams, The Health Ranger". He too was burned by Big Pharma & mainstream medicine until he woke up. After some big changes, he is now enjoying robust health. But he is determined to get the word out & prevent more suffering. Bravo to this heroic individual, & shame on workers in the cancer industry, who are either asleep to the descrepencies embedded there & the corruption at the top, or who know & simply are content to feel guilty "all the way to the bank".

It's important to gain additional information on breast cancer. I have been one of the lucky ones. I had a lump removed and it was not cancerous...however, waiting to find out was very stressful. I think it's great more is being said about the subject and help people who can bond together with similar situations. I did not have anyone who I could talk to while I waited for the results (about 1 month)...this was 16 years ago! I think we've come a long long way and that's good!

A lumpectomy which extracts a benign growth does not require follow-up anything, least of all radiation; additionally, some "lumps" are often nothing more than embedded cysts which can be aspirated, that is, drained via a syringe.

I had a lumpectomy and radiation in1986 and just when I thought I was home free I was diagnosed a second time in 2006. There are no guarantees for anything.

I wish this article had mentioned that through the act of breastfeeding women can indeed decrease their risk of developing breast cancer in the first place.
