I have not seen any discharge from my nipple, or maybe I was not aware. Am I normal? I am a mother of three and my last pregnancy was 14 yrs ago. Now am 45 yrs old and I am planning to have my first mammogram but am scared because those women my age who experienced already said it was very painful. Is that true? thanks a lot.

Here is a note for lu_caddauan: the mammogram is not half as painful as chemo, surgery and radiation! Don't hold off!

I have this "green/black" discharge coming from both breasts but surrounding it is also clear discharge. So, I have both! My nipples are also tender and painful. I have had a mamogram and still awaiting a MRI.which should take place within the next week or so. This has been going on for aprox. 5 months with little concern from my PCP till I asked her to please at least look at it. Should I be alarmed because so much time has passed?

I have the clear discharge and my left nipple has started to invert. I am waiting for my biopsy on Wed. Kind of nervous about what the results will hold.

I am 24ys old and for the last 8 months at least I have noticed both of my breasts are almost always tender and painful. I have also had a black/greenish discharge with a clear coating around it out of my right breast only. This worries me very much as cancer does run in my family. Any ideas of what is going on with me?
