Finally someone has acknowledged this. My mother found the lump. My father had a radical mastectomy including lymph node removal in 1976 - no plastic surgeon to rebuild anything back then, but he survived. His left arm remained enlarged from fluid retention for the rest of his life. Prostate cancer took him nearly 3-years ago. But he lived a long life as a male breast cancer survivor. I have been told that my father having had breast cancer and my history of calcifications and benign cysts that were so large and painful they had to be aspirated makes me a prime candidate. Every year, I literally hold my breath, but I know one year, my time will come and I plan to fight just as hard as my father did.

I come from a family history of cancer. My Mother died of breast cancer at 35. My sister had cervical cancer at 26 and my own daughter has had ovarion cancer at 18. It is very hard to understand cancer, I on the other hand have never had any form of cancer. I need to express the importance of regular physical exams, for all members of your family. It is better safe than sorry!!

This blog has been very helpful in which that males and females should watch their diet and exercise from childhood to the gray hairs on their heads - senior citizens. We should not take life for granted. It is precious and worth more than gold. THANKS
