    I have a BRAC 2 genetic variation, and have had a double mastectomy for invasive breast cancer. Now I face a prophylactic salpo-oopherectomy. The tone of your article makes it seem that removing these very personal body parts is akin to removing a splinter. Please always remember that, whatever the necessity, these can be devastating surgeries for a woman.
