Pinworm is the most common worm infection in the United States.

  • Infections occur in people of all races and socioeconomic backgrounds.1
  • Up to half of people living in institutions have pinworm infections.2

Pinworm infections are most common in preschool and school-age children.2

Pinworm infections in adults are most common among people living in institutions and among parents or caregivers of infected children.2
