The Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (K-ABC) is an intelligence test given to children to assess their verbal and nonverbal abilities. This test was created to reduce any potential cultural bias that may exist in other tests.

The K-ABC test measures intelligence and achievement and is made up of 16 parts. The child is asked to perform several tasks at once that usually involve placing items in order or in sequence. The child is evaluated on his or her spatial, mathematical, and reading skills and the ability to mentally process tasks or problems.
