Micrograms per liter (mcg/L)

Some medical tests give results in micrograms per liter (mcg/L).

  • A microgram is one-millionth of a gram. A gram is about 1/30 of an ounce.
  • A liter measures fluid volume. It is a little bigger than a quart.
