Pheochromocytoma is a tumor usually found in the adrenalglands (located on the kidneys). The tumor usually is not cancerous, but itcan be fatal if left untreated.

Pheochromocytoma is rare and occurs most often in youngadults. It causes attacks of high blood pressure, headaches, excessive sweating,nausea and vomiting, anxiety, and loss of consciousness.

Treatment for pheochromocytoma involves surgery to removethe tumor.
