Hangover refers to the unpleasant symptoms that develop 4 to 6 hours after a person drinks too much alcohol.
Symptoms may include:
- Nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.
- Headache, tiredness, and irritability.
- Sweating and thirst.
- Weakness and shaky hands.
A hangover is an indication of drinking too much alcohol. If a person has frequent hangovers, it could be a sign of an alcohol use problem.
